Congratulations to St Joseph's Catholic Primary School (Waltham Cross) on a successful Section 8 Ofsted Inspection
"We are privileged and extremely proud of the outcome of the Section 8 Ofsted Inspection which took place last term.
A Section 8 Inspection essentially examines the progress we have made since our last graded inspection which was in April 2017."
(Mrs O'Connor, Executive Headteacher)
The final report has now been published and is available on the school website.
Whilst Ofsted does not record grading as part of this inspection the report notes that St Joseph's has demonstrated
significant improvement since its last inspection. As the school was last judged Good, this means Ofsted
expect much if not all the provision to be Outstanding.
"Pupils behaviour is exemplary. From the early years onwards, staff have clear expectations and well-established routines.
Relationships are respectful. Pupils do the right thing because they know it is the right thing to do.
Pupils are polite, kind and support one another. They enjoy social times and play happily."
"The school has high expectations for what pupils can achieve. Pupils are keen, curious and inquisitive learners.
They value the learning opportunities the school provides. This is reflected in lessons where pupils are diligent and highly engaged. Pupils achieve well across the curriculum."
"The provision to prepare pupils for life beyond school is exceptional. The wider opportunities and experiences are carefully mapped out. This enriches the taught curriculum and develops pupils' talents and interests."
